Jo Wallace, Barn Manager/Beginners Lessons:
Horses have been part of Jo Wallace's life since growing up in Denmark. As a horse crazy kid, the highlight of each week was the Saturday pony group consisting of flatwork & jumping followed by hour long trail rides through the woods. Although she never owned a pony while living in Denmark, once she moved to the US as an adult, she had the opportunity to own 5 horses and a barn!
Jo will be teaching the beginners at Wacky Nut Farm. In her 20 years of being a part of the horse community on Bainbridge Island she has ridden with several instructors, taught children's riding lessons, and worked with a local equine veterinarian. Prior to joining Wacky Nut Farm, Jo taught literature and environmental studies at the University of Washington.
Beginners Lesson Fee: $75 (75 minutes, includes grooming, tacking up, and putting horse away, in addition to riding) on our horse.
